Grandpa passed away peacefully on the 24th April. The nite before, I just went over to his house to see him coz he was very sick but I never expect him to pass away so sudden. I was shaking when my mum called me on 24th morning to inform me about the sad news. I dashed down with my bro to his house but we were too late. When i was there, everyone in the family was already chanting prayers for him. I cried and cried coz i really cant accept that he left us so fast. But when he passed away, all his children were by his side. I know everyone in the family is very upset esp my mum and grandma so I told myself to be strong coz I need to be there for them.
Thks to my friends: Missy Tan, Yanling, Jiuan and Intan who came down to the wake. And thks to my new boss, Sister Alice who make time to come down too. Appreciate all your contributions and concern.

他病的很严重，
日子不多了。
人往往总要等到失去才开始珍惜。
我很气自己没作工的时候，
没抽出多一点时间陪他。

First Week @ Work

It's been a rather hectic week for me @ work. Lots of packing to do since the polyclinic undergoing renovation soon. And I will be posted to Hougang Polyclinic for the next 3 mths. It will be a long journey to work then. Feeling kinda sianz upon hearing this news but i got no choice...
Lunch time there usually need to attend health talk and also eat lunch at the same time while listening. Still trying to adapt to this.
Overall, colleagues and superior are very nice to me and taught me a lot new things. Since i have no nursing background, gonna start learning from the scratch. Is a totally new working environment for me and im certainly looking forward to learning more new things. Will try to update my blog as often as i can... =)

One day, a Genie appeared to a woman and said, “This is your lucky day! I will give you 3 wishes.”
“Yeheey!” the woman squealed.
“But on one condition,” said the Genie, “Whatever you ask for, your husband will receive 3 times more.”
The woman frowned, “What? But I hate my husband! He’s a despicable man!”
The Genie shook his head. “I’m sorry. I’m the Love Genie. I repeat: What you ask for, your husband will receive 3 times more.”
The woman said, “Oh, okay. My first wish: Make me very rich. I want $1 Million.”
The Genie asked, “Are you sure? Your husband will have $3 Million.”
She says, “Oh, never mind. What is his is mine and what is mine is his.”
“Very well then!” the Genie said, and with a wave of his hand, and “Poof!” the woman had $1 Million—and her husband had $3 Million.
“My second request is that I want to be very beautiful.”
The Genie asked, “Are you sure? Your husband will look like Piolo Pascual and Sam Milby and John Lloyd put together. This is very dangerous. The girls will flock to him.”
The woman said, “Just as long as I’ll be beautiful.”
And with the wave of his hand, “Poof!”, and she became utterly beautiful and the husband three times more handsome.
The woman then said, “For the third wish, I would like to have a very mild heart attack.”
Moral of the story:
Whatever you give to yourself, you give to others more.
If you like yourself, you’ll like others too.
If you dislike yourself, you’ll dislike others too.
Because life is a mirror.
What you see in others is a reflection of what you see in yourself

I dun need Haagen Dazs Ice-Cream to make me reali happy... just a Magnum from Walls is enough and especially when is from him. Dar gave me a little surprise last nite. He booked out of camp for a while and came over to my place with my favourite Ice-Cream!! Awwww...How sweet is that? I was already happy enough to see him and yet he still have that little surprise for me...

Went to sign my appointment letter today at NHG HR. Will be going for my medical check up tmr.. if everything goes well, most likely will be starting work in 1-2 weeks time. =)
Met Dar for lunch @ Tiong Bahru... He brought me to The Pasta Shop in celebration of me starting on my new job soon... keke.. Pasta there really very nice wor.. and we each paid $0.99 more to get a Miso Soup, Ice Green Tea and Chocolate Ice-Cream.. So worth it!! Guess wat? If u patronize the shop on A RAINY DAY... 50% off the pasta!!!! (Usual price: approx $16.90) WOW! Such a good deal.. ** Eyes blinking with $.$ ** But when u are eating halfway and it started to rain, not counted hor!! Only when u step into the shop when is raining then counted as from what the staff mentioned.. haha..
Had a wonderful meal @ The Pasta Shop. Definately going back there again and hopefully the next visit will be a rainy day.. HA!
